After Effects Cs6 (11.0.4) Update

I too am having difficulties installing and running after effects CS6. I am running MacOS Sierra (and updated to High Sierra hoping it might fix the problem but no.) I've tried installing AE CS6 through Creative Cloud, but it seems to install version 11.0 and will not open. I've been trying to teach myself the snapping function in After Effects CS6, but I can't for the life of me find the 'Snapping' box that I'm supposed to check to activate this feature. I have looked inside the 'View' tab and made sure that there's a check next to 'Snap to Guides' option. I have tried resetting my workspace to 'Normal'. There are lots of bug fixes and new and changed features in the After Effects CC (12.2) update, and a couple of targeted bug fixes in the After Effects CS6 (11.0.4) update. Now is a good time to install updates for Creative Cloud (2017, 2015, 2014, and 2013 releases), CS6, CS5.5, and CS5 versions of the Adobe video applications, since several significant updates have been released.
